Only one yellow jersey holder from the five categories held on to their title. For the third year in a row Magnus Byne with a time of 2:18:23 was our solo male and overall winner. Congratulations Magnus! Team Andromeda's Echo, Co-ed Yellow jersey holders from last year had to pull out due to extreme mechanical problems early in the race leaving Karl Yeh and Danielle Fisher of Team Coastal to take the Co-ed jersey with a time of 2:52:30. There was also a number of other impressive finishes including our new fastest woman, Penny Plamonoon of the runners' den, with a time of 2:34:58.
You may have noticed the bride and groom racing as well. Paul and Rhonna will be tying the knot this Saturday May 5th! Our youngest competitor Lynden Good, 12 finished strong and is geared up for future races. Congrats to our "first time adventure race' winner Peter Ruben for successfully completing his first adventure race. He was matched up with Team Captain Subaru Canada, Jim Mandelli who shared race tips and encouragement along the way.

The course dealt out some cuts and bruises. Racers will remember a hike a bike section - a ravine at Mossom Creek proved to be quite the site with all the racers pushing their bikes up the muddy hill. The furthest point on the course was Sasamat Lake which had the racers going every which way around the lake finding markers stretched over 4 kms. More sweet single track finished up the course and naturally something fun was waiting at the end which made for some laughs. Lastly, the awarding of the yellow jerseys was followed by the racers heading to the Golden Spike Pub for a beer.

For some initial pictures <click here> Be sure to check back in a few more weeks for more pictures. Thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers that helped make it happen! The 2007 race was a real rush!
All the best for a great summer of adventure racing ahead!
